Winning – Neilma Sidney Short Story Prize 2016

Bird3-600x250                               Overland.Journal

My short story K-K-K has won the inaugural Neilma Sidney Short Story Prize with Overland Literary Journal.

I am happy and humbled. And, really rather overwhelmed.

I wrote this story #ForSyria.

I would like to take this opportunity to say #LetThemStay.

Because I do not think detention is the answer.

Thank you to all at Overland, the Malcom Robertson Foundation and the Neilma Sidney judges.

Heartfelt congratulations to my fellow shortlistees.
