My Short Story K-K-K has been shortlisted for the Short Story of the Year at the BGE Irish Book Awards. The awards are open for public vote, and of course I’d love it if you voted for my story.

K-K-K won the inaugural Neilma Sidney Short Story Prize with Overland Literary Journal earlier this year, and has recently been published in Award Winning Australian Writing 2016 (Melbourne Books).

I won AU$4000 from the Malcolm Robertson Foundation, and donated $1000 to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.

K-K-K speaks directly to the current global humanitarian disaster that is the treatment of, and lack of compassion towards, asylum seekers and refugees.
